The North Penn-Liberty Lady Mounties suffered deafeat against the Canton Lady Warriors Wednesday January 29th. However the high point of the night was their Senior Night, which honored the team's only senior Camryn Moyer as well as bringing to light all the hard work and dedication fromother players, parents, and the coaching staff of the North Penn-Liberty girls team. Halfway through the first quarter of the North Penn-Liberty Lady Mounties versus Canton Lady Warriors basketball game Wednesday night, Canton was leading 9-2 after scoring the first points of the game. Frequent fouls on the Lady Mounties gave way to even more points for the Lady Warriors. Canton was able to double their first quarter score in the second quarter as the Lady Mounties’ offense worked hard to attempt a catch-up. The halftime score was 22-11, Canton still up. The third quarter defense for the Lady Warriors amped up, making it difficult for the Lady Mounties to shoot. The Lady Warriors stole possession of the ball numerous times during the third quarter, racking up points on the scoreboard. The final quarter was a battle between the two teams as the time ticked down, however North Penn-Liberty’s offense seemed to falter in the final few minutes. The final score of the night was 47-24, Canton coming out with the win.
